Loganberry (Rubus) 'Thornless LY654' 3L
The large, long, conical fruits are claret red, juicy and the flavour is excellent. The leaves are light green, quite smooth and free from prickles. A good heavy crop. Space 2.4 m (8 ft) apart. Grows well in sun or light shade in moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Picking time - Mid-July to August.

Malus 'Laura ®' 12L
A small tree. A naturally dwarf tree with an upright habit, for even the smallest garden. Dark purple-green leaves and stunning pink and white scented flowers in April. Persistent large, round, maroon fruit perfect for the best crab apple jelly. Can be grown in a pot. Suits most well drained soils in sun or partial shade.

A charming graceful tree, one of the best weeping Malus, forming an umbrella shape. Dark green, glossy leaves, rose coloured buds opening to true pink flowers. Small lemon-gold ripening to golden-orange fruit festoon the branches in the autumn. Can be grown in a large container. Will grow in most soils in sun or partial shade.

Crab Apple. A fitting name for this charming Malus. The shiny green foliage is a perfect foil for the white Spring flowers, and are almost apple-blossom at times. The Autumn fruits are large and bright, glossy red, like perfect wax cherries. Will grow in most well-drained soils in sun or partial shade. Good scab resistance.

Golden variegated sweet flag. This variegated semi-evergreen has aromatic, showy bright yellow & green striped foliage that grows in attractive wide fans forming large low growing clumps. MARGINAL - Alisma plantago aquaticum 1L
Water plantain. When mature this plant sends up many flower stems with multiple delicate white flowers and broad, lanceolate leaves. It is also said to be a cure for rabies hence it is sometimes called Mad Dog weed. Likes t9o be kept constantly moist. Remove flower heads soon after flowering to encourage new flowers and prevent self seeding. Trim old foliage after dying back in Autumn

Known as “Apache beads”, it has beautiful white scented flowers and broad, dark green leaves. Used to be sold in Mexico's markets to ward off malaria and other diseases. The flowers and leaves can be dried for potpourri. Little maintenance is required. Trim just above the water surface after foliage has died back in Autumn to tidy.

Flowering rush. Pretty pink flowers in umbels rise above the triangular leaves which turn from red to dark green as they mature. The roots used to be crushed and used as food in northern Asia. MARGINAL - Calla palustris 1L
Bog or Water arum. A rambling plant with heart-shaped leaves, white flowers are followed by bright red seed heads. This is one of the very few plants known to be pollinated by snails as they are attracted by the flower’s scent. Native to Europe, Asia and North America and naturalised in the UK. Harmful if eaten. Skin & eye irritant.
MARGINAL - Caltha palustris 1L
Marsh marigold, King cup. Once established it produces a mass of bright yellow flowers very early in the spring, almost a ball of yellow. After flowering in March and April most foliage will die back. Remove dead leaves to tidy and encourage a potential second flowering.

MARGINAL - Cotula coronopifolia 1L
Brass buttons. A pretty creeping plant, with numerous bright yellow flowers like buttons. The seeds can be collected and sown under glass in February/March or sown outside in April/May. This annual will self seed if planted in boggy ground where the seeds can settle.
