Apache is a very striking potato with its bright red skin and cream eyes. Lots of round tubers are expected with a lovely smooth texture. Scrubbed and cooked whole, Apache makes a delicious change from traditional roast potatoes. The contrasting colours stay bright if blanched before roasting whole in their skins, giving an excellent, almost sweet, buttery, chestnut flavour.

This is a late maturing variety and produces a high yield. Arran Victory is a floury potato and is very tasty. It makes delicious mash and is also good for roasting and baking.
