HERB Balm - Lemon 8.5cm/9cm
A bushy upright perennial with wrinkled, light green leaves and spikes of yellow flowers from June to August. Can be used in stuffings, jams, fruit salads, vegetable salads and fruit drinks. Height - 60-120cm (2-4ft); Spread - 45cm (18in). Prefers a well-drained soil in a sunny position.

A tall and graceful perennial herb sometimes mistaken for dill but with a completely different taste and fragrance. Very fine green leaves and bright yellow flowers. Used primarily with fish sauces and cooked vegetables. Height - Up to 1.5m (Up to 5ft). Prefers a sunny site in well-drained soil.
HERB Lavender - 'Grosso' 9cm
A very hardy hybrid lavender, much grown comercially in France for oil. Bears many large spikes of heavily scented violet flowers which are excellent for drying. The foliage is silver-grey. Add flowers to soups, stews and salads. Grow in well-drained, fairly fertile soil, in full sun. Height - 90cm (3 ft).
