A deciduous Azalea. Large trusses of stunning, SCENTED white flowers with a deep orange-yellow flare. Blooms in mid to late May. Good Autumn colour. 'Common Osier'. A variety long cultivated for basket making. A large, vigorous, native shrub or small tree with long, straight shoots. Catkins appear before the leaves. Can be coppiced or made into a hedge. Will grow in damp soils in sun or part-shade. Can be trained to a height of between 1.5-2.1m (5-7ft). Plant at between 45-75cm (18-30in) apart.
HERB Lavender - 'Rosea' 9cm
'Lavender'. A compact bushy evergreen shrub with narrow greyish-green leaves and spikes of lavender-pink flowers from July to August. Height - 75cm (30in); Spread - 90cm (3ft). Prefers a sunny position in well drained soil.
HERB Mint - After Eight 9cm
Dark green leaves with dark veins. Dense clusters of mauve-pink flowers from June to August. Can be grown in pots. The extra strong peppermint flavour has a hint of chocolate. Add to puddings, Summer drinks and tea. Prefers sun or part-shade in moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Height - 60cm (2ft).
HERB Mint - Corsican 9cm
(Mentha requienii). The smallest of the mints, forms a low carpet of tiny bright green leaves with minute purple flowers. Very strong pepermint scent. Excellent ground cover plant for damp shade. Leaves can be used sparingly in salads. Prefers sun or part-shade in a fertile, moist but well-drained soil.

(Mentha piperata x citrata). Has a fresh lemon and mint scent and produces purple flowers in Summer. Mauve flowers in Summer. Prefers a fertile, moist, well-drained soil in a sunny position. Can be used in Summer drinks, fruit salads, etc. Height - 45cm (18in).
